"The Myth of Sisyphus" by Albert Camus
Review by Shawn

In my opinion, this is the best book on Absurdism and one of Camus’s best writings. It begins by clearly elucidating the Philosophy of the Absurd, showing that the world in which we find ourselves is basically counter to anything and everything we could want. Camus then states that, in such an absurd existence, the only real and meaningful philosophical question is whether one should commit suicide or accept the absurdity. By examining various ideas and writings, Camus finds that – and this should not come as a spoiler since Camus did not kill himself – there is reason to live in, and enjoy, the Absurd existence. All is well.
