"Southern Man" by Greg Iles

Southern Man can be read as a stand alone but is a follow up to the "Natchez Burning" trilogy. I have not personally read this book, which is why I am not confident in giving it a full 5 paws. Why 4 paws? I can appreciate a well written authors ability to take a fleshed out character like, Penn Cage, into a new ficitional story that relates to the modern ziegist. From conversing with readers who've read the trilogy it is equally mixed with positive and negative reactions. Looking for a political thriller I'd recommend this for you!
